AeroVista shows how much energy your wind turbines lose to blade damage. Enter your blade inspection findings in a simple workbook, upload it, and AeroVista estimates the lost annual energy production, sending the results straight to your inbox.

Who is responsible for your data. Power Curve ApS (CVR 25730453), Kastetvej 2, st., 9000 Aalborg, Denmark, is the data controller for personal data processed through AeroVista. Contact us about your data at info@powercurve.dk. We have not appointed a data protection officer.

What we collect.

  • Your full name, email address, organisation, role and country.
  • Notes or a project reference, if you choose to give them.
  • The workbook you upload and the results AeroVista produces from it.
  • A record that you read this notice and accepted the terms of use, and which version.
  • Your IP address, used to protect AeroVista from automated abuse. It is stored only as a hash made with a secret key, never as the address itself.

Please do not put personal data inside the uploaded workbook unless the analysis needs it.

Why we use it, and our legal basis under the GDPR.

  • Running your analysis and emailing you the results: Article 6(1)(b), necessary to provide the service you ask for.
  • Verifying your email address and protecting AeroVista from automated abuse: Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and available.
  • Keeping a record of runs for support and troubleshooting: Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in helping users and fixing problems.
  • Understanding how AeroVista is used, in anonymised form only: Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in improving the service.

We do not use your details for marketing.

Who we share it with. We use two service providers, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Microsoft Azure hosts AeroVista, stores your data in Europe and sends our email. Cloudflare checks that requests come from a person rather than an automated script, and may process your IP address and browser information in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it.

  • Uploaded workbooks, run progress and result files are deleted automatically after 30 days.
  • Your user details and run history are deleted 36 months after your last run.
  • Email verification codes expire after 10 minutes. The hashed IP records used for abuse protection are deleted after 30 days.

Your rights. You can ask for access to your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we process it, and receive it in a portable format. Email info@powercurve.dk and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, dt@datatilsynet.dk, datatilsynet.dk.

What you must provide. Your name, email address, organisation, role and country are needed to use AeroVista; without them we cannot run an analysis. Notes are optional.

Automated decisions. We make no decisions about you based only on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. Each organisation's email domain, or each address at a public email provider, can have a limited number of turbines analysed in total. That is a fixed usage limit, not an assessment of you.

What we store in your browser. A record that you verified your email address, so you are not asked again for 30 days, and a list of your recent runs. Both are needed for features you use and neither is used for tracking. Cloudflare's check may also store information in your browser to tell people apart from automated scripts.

Changes. We update this notice when how we process your data changes, and we record which version you accepted. Version 4, September 2026.

Read terms of use

What AeroVista is. AeroVista estimates the annual energy production lost to leading-edge erosion, from blade condition data you upload. The results are engineering estimates produced by a model. They depend on the accuracy of your input and on the assumptions built into the model, and they are not a guarantee of any turbine's actual performance. You are responsible for how you use them.

Your uploads. You confirm that you have the right to upload the data you submit and to let Power Curve ApS process it. Do not upload personal data inside a workbook unless the analysis needs it.

How Power Curve may use uploaded data. Power Curve ApS may retain uploaded blade condition data and the results calculated from it, and use them in aggregated or anonymised form to improve AeroVista, validate its models and produce industry statistics. We will not publish or share data in a form that identifies you, your organisation or a specific wind farm without your agreement. Your personal details are handled as described in the privacy notice and are not part of this.

Fair use. AeroVista is provided free of charge for evaluating blade erosion. Each organisation may have up to 25 turbines analysed in total, shared by everyone using an email address at its domain. An address at a public email provider such as Gmail or Outlook has its own 25. Email us if you need more. Only turbines that produce a result count towards that. Do not attempt to bypass verification or usage limits, overload the service, or use it to probe its security.

Availability. AeroVista is provided as is. We aim to keep it available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or withdraw it at any time. Result files are deleted after 30 days.

Law. These terms are governed by Danish law. Version 3, September 2026.
